Staff & Keyworker Support

At Homesdale supported living, we believe that the individuality and diversity of people should be promoted and this is embedded within the support we provide to people. We do not believe in a one-fits-all approach, so we actively encourage people, families, placing authorities, and keyworkers to collaborate in the person’s person-centered plan.

Planning is essential to ensure that the service is appropriate to the individual’s needs. An important function of the support plan is to identify areas to develop, set, and agree on realistic aims, objectives, and goals and to promote the individual’s independence. Therefore pre-service needs are assessed and the support plan prepared in a suitable and appropriate manner, according to the circumstances of each individual person, before the service starts. Staff-members are made familiar with the support plans of the individuals they will support, and the manager ensures that all relevant information and changes are carefully recorded.

Our Support workers are extensively trained, we follow the Skills for Care core and mandatory framework, all staff complete the Care Certificate and we use a combination of face-to-face and eLearning on a state of the art e-learning system. Staff are also offered additional training in the form of QCF diplomas and additional specialty training that reflects the needs of the people we support.
